When you process a shipment through your Bongo account to be forwarded to you, the insurance is already calculated to cover the total value of the shipment, which includes the merchandise and shipping costs.
You may opt not to insure the shipment by clicking the small red "X" on the confirmation page. If you choose not to insure you shipment, you take the full risk of any loss or damage to your goods during the shipment process.
During the processing phase at the Bongo Shipping Warehouse, we open each package and inspect the goods to make sure everything looks undamaged and in pristine condition. If we do find a damaged item, we will notify the shipper/company to get a replacement quickly.
Claims are typically processed and paid within 2 business days of receipt. Insurance Claims are paid by check. Please note that Duties and Taxes are not covered by insurance. However, we are able to re-import the items as "replacement items" so that duties and taxes will not be charged.
